Middle Kids 2

As a community of learners, our preschoolers have a variety of opportunities to explore their environment both indoors and outside.

The materials in the classroom offer children the chance to engage in learning possibilities through the use of block building, painting and drawing, stories, science experiments and neighborhood walks.

Children are encouraged to pursue their interests and investigations with the support of their teachers. Through observation and documentation, the teachers recognize the child’s strengths, relationships with others and interests as a foundation from which to extend learning. The ideas and interests of children are transformed into the daily curriculum in a meaningful way.

Purple Circle offers families the following Monday through Friday programs, year round, providing four options parents can choose from to meet their unique needs:

  • 8:30am – 1:50pm
  • 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • 8:30am – 6:00pm
  • 2:10pm – 6:00pm

There is also an early morning drop-off option available each day at 8:00am.

Aditi Gang
Aditi GangLead Teacher
Hello everyone! My name is Aditi Gang (she/her/hers) and I am excited to begin my second year with the Purple Circle community and will be co-teaching Middle Kids 2 this year. I unexpectedly fell in love with Early Childhood Education seven years ago and since then, I have been working with young children across New York City and received my MS.Ed in Early Childhood General Education and Early Childhood Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. Growing up in the melting-pot of Singapore and in an Indian family, I am fluent in English and Hindi. I love exploring different cultures with my students and watching them learn more about each other, their communities, and the world around them. I believe deeply that educators and students can learn so much from one another and I look forward to learning and exploring with Middle Kids 2 this year! My hours are from 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Some of the highlights of her teaching career includes her time as an English language assistant in France and a stint as a LEGO robotics instructor. She is a social justice-minded educator who aims to bring an appreciation for different languages and cultures into the classroom (she speaks Spanish as well as French and would love to know about any other languages you speak at home!). At the end of the day, she is a passionate lover of music, movement, good books, and hands-on, experiential learning who will always put the best interest of her students first.
